We approach each project with open minds, eager to collaborate with our partners and bring empathy and enthusiasm to the stories they want to tell. We’ve been trusted by the likes of Capital One, The New York Times, National Geographic, and other brands. Our tight-knit team of filmmakers, animators, and producers prides itself on being versatile and eager to challenge both ourselves and our craft in service of the work. We meticulously tend to each idea, ensuring that the conditions are just right for it to flourish.

Plant your ideas with The Garden and watch them take root.

How we work

01.

Discover & Define

We start by listening. Whether you arrive with a loose idea or a tight brief, we shape the strategy collaboratively and deliver - building a shared understanding of what success looks like before a single frame is shot or a single table is set. Our process includes the entire production pipeline; working from the ground up to ensure every detail is considered.

02.

Create & Produce

Our creative team develops ideas that serve your objectives. With a dedicated staff and a broad network of award-winning directors, cinematographers, editors, animators, and designers, we believe in producing the most innovative and authentic work and executing with precision.

03.

Deliver & Grow

We manage every detail with transparency, so nothing falls through the cracks. Our best client relationships aren't one-offs - they grow into long-term partnerships built on trust and consistently great work.

Andrew Petrilla

Creative Director

Meet Andrew, Creative Director at The Garden Creative. Growing up in Ohio, the closest Andrew could get to filmmaking was studying the special features of the Lord of the Rings DVDs. His journey from software engineer, to one-man-band filmmaker, to now director, has him pinching himself whenever he shoots on Arri Ultra Primes (the same lenses used on Lord of the Rings). Outside of geeking out at work, he cherishes time in the mountains with his wife and daughter.

Michael Slavens

Gabriel O’Byrne

Filmmaker/Editor

Meet Gabe, a multi-talented soul torn between motocross, stand-up comedy, and filmmaking. Luckily, he chose the latter. A Syracuse alum, he started as a PA on a film bridging Japanese and American baseball, working his way through a variety of post production positions before settling at The Garden as an editor and has started directing as a filmmaker. Off duty, he's devoted to his 19lb cat, indulges in stand-up comedy, and lives and breathes all things film.

Pet Project

If there’s one thing we love more than telling stories, it’s animals

They inspire, protect, and love us unconditionally. We owe them more than we can say, and we feel that part of our job should be to pay some of it back.

The Garden Creative has managed to join forces with several reputable shelters and rescues. Of every dollar we make, we donate a percentage to these organizations. And it's not just about money. We also give our time and services to help these organizations share their message and increase fundraising.

Every project that comes through our studio has our gratitude because everyone is helping these wonderful people change the lives of many animals.
